Benefits of eLearning

Delivering training as eLearning allows employees to take a course at their computers on their own terms. They get to choose the best time of day, how many modules they cover in a sitting, and when to rewind to catch something they missed. All learning styles can be accommodated in a course.

For example, online text allows visual learners to read. Voice overs appeal to auditory learners. Demos let a user watch how to do something. Simulations let them try it out for themselves. A course can offer knowledge checks before the user takes a quiz or assessment. And all of this data can be captured and analyzed by management.

eLearning also eliminates many logistical challenges. The nightmare of scheduling large groups of people for training at mutually convenient times is no longer an issue. Nor is finding a training center, ordering refreshments, or hiring a trainer. As an added bonus, eLearning is often a less expensive option than instructor-led training.
